Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s different work lives ‘not a sign of trouble’

Harry and Meghan announce Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are embarking on different career paths and projects, but insiders have squashed any suggestions this is a sign of trouble for the married couple.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently saw their £15million deal with online music streaming giant Spotify mutually ended after less than three years.

That failure could potentially see them lose millions of pounds, with the deal ending after just 12 episodes of Meghan’s podcast Archetypes were streamed.

Earlier this year, Meghan signed with Hollywood talent agency William Morris Endeavour (WME), while she has been tipped to return to acting or revive her lifestyle blog, The Tig.

Harry is focusing on Heart of Invictus, the latest documentary in the couple’s bumper multi-year deal with Netflix, will hit screens this month, and he price could also fly to Africa to film another documentary.

The recent blows and the different directions their careers are seemingly heading in have led to vicious rumours of marriage trouble, which have been quickly shot down by an insider close to the couple.

One source told OK! Magazine: “The Sussexes’ marriage is fine,” while commenting on the reaction to Harry’s upcoming solo trip to Africa.

The insider insisted: “That’s a work trip. It’s not a sign of trouble.”

Last month, another inside source close to the couple also put an end to the rumors swirling around the couple’s marriage, telling Page Six: “It’s not true, it’s literally made up.”

On Wednesday, a smiling Meghan and Harry returned to the spotlight together for the first time in nearly three months when they appeared in a new Archewell Foundation video.

The Sussexes are founding members of their foundation, and the beaming couple are seen in the video congratulating winners of the Youth Power Fund in a phone call.

During the clip, they also listen to their insightful suggestions to make the world a better place.

Filmed in their idyllic backyard in Montecito, California, Meghan wore a beige sleeveless dress while Harry went for a more casual look with beige chinos to match with his wife’s outfit.

In one clip, Harry says: “This is exactly why we do what we do.”

He also tells a winner: “Thank you for doing everything that you do, our kids especially are incredibly grateful,” and Meghan adds: “They don’t know it yet, but they will!”

Royal expert Daniela Elser wrote in her column for news.com.au: “The Sussexes and their hair, makeup, lighting, sound and camera teams made a return to the spotlight in a video that could have been titled ‘EVERYTHING IS FINE!’

“No wobbly smartphone wielded by some poor aide designated for human tripod duty here, but a professional crew who looks to have shot the couple from multiple angles, all the better to catch their warm smiles, big hearts, and very blatant attempt at a relaunch.

Meghan and Harry will also travel to Germany next month to attend the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf.

The duchess will moderate a “very emotional” farewell show for families and competitors on the final day, while the prince will give the closing speech, according to German newspaper, Rheinische Post.
