Angela Levin told talkRADIO that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been given a massive amount of what they wanted by Queen Elizabeth II. The royal expert added the Queen has kept the door open for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to return to The Firm but the couple need to make a choice between royalty and money.
Ms Levin said: “They have been given a massive amount of what they wanted, the Queen was very generous.
“She has kept the door open to them but they can’t have it both ways.
“It can’t be royal and earn lots of money for themselves at the same time.
“They can go anywhere they want and do anything they want yet they still hark back about the most minute grievances.
“Kate gave her flowers rather than checking how she was, the Queen hasn’t got their picture on display, tiny grievances which they build up.”
However, on Saturday a royal historian stated the Duke and Duchess of Sussex supporting the Queen “overshadowed” other members of the Royal Family.
Dr Kate Williams said the Royal Family were unable to harness Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s star power.
The royal commentator added the Royal Family has a strict hierarchy but that public interest cannot be directed or controlled.
Ms Williams said: “The Royal Family has a very strict hierarchy and what they would like to be the case is that the public attention goes to the more senior royals, not to the more junior royals.
“The simple fact is that you can’t direct public attention.
“People are more interested in what Prince Harry and Meghan have to say than other more senior royals such as the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
“No matter what they do it does seem that Harry and Meghan get this greater attention.”
She continued: “The fact is that whatever they did to support the Queen would often overshadow other members of the Royal Family and that was seen as a problem. They have this huge star power.
“They had a small wedding than most siblings in the same position, Andrew had a huge wedding, Anne had a huge wedding.

It comes following claims in an explosive new biography called Finding Freedom which follows the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and is due to be released on August 11.
The book, written by royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, comes after Meghan and Harry decided to step back as senior royals earlier this year.
Meghan and Harry’s spokesman denied any links between the Sussexes and the biography.
A statement said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to Finding Freedom.
“This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting.”
