Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to reunite with Queen, William and Kate for one last time

The Duke and Duchess will attend the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on March 9. This is likely to be their last official appearance as working members of the monarchy. The event is normally attended by the Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and is a major engagement in the Queen’s calendar.

It comes as Meghan and Harry announced this evening they will no longer use their “Sussex Royal” branding.

A spokeswoman for the couple said: “While the Duke and Duchess are focused on plans to establish a new non-profit organisation, given the specific UK government rules surrounding use of the word Royal, it has been therefore agreed that their non-profit organisation, when it is announced this spring, will not be named Sussex Royal Foundation.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘SussexRoyal’ in any territory post Spring 2020.”

The couple said on Wednesday that their lives as working royals will end on March 31 when they stop representing the Queen and become financially independent.

Harry and Meghan will embark on a new chapter in North America after then.

But sources have made clear they “will be in the United Kingdom regularly” and keep the same charitable goals supporting causes from the Commonwealth to mental health.

Harry and Meghan set up the website of sussexroyal.com which was registered in March 2019.

It detailed the couple’s plans for their roles in the monarchy and relationship with the media.

The @SussexRoyal Instagram account, started in April 2019, has since amassed 11.2 million followers.

They also applied to trademark the phrases Sussex Royal and Sussex Royal Foundation.

This would be to use on books, stationery, clothing such as pyjamas and socks, charity campaigns and the provision of training, sport and social care.

The closure of their Buckingham Palace office is likely to mean their 15 employees will lose their jobs.

This will raise money for the Invictus Games Foundation on February 28.

On March 5, Meghan and Harry will attend the Endeavour Fund Awards, which recognise wounded, injured and sick Service personnel and veterans.

The next day, Harry will meet Lewis Hamilton at the official opening of the Silverstone Experience.

The couple will also attend the Mountbatten Music Festival at the Royal Albert Hall.

They will watch the Massed Bands of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines perform in aid of The Royal Marines Charity and CLIC Sargent.
