Meghan Markle and Prince Harry: The Christmas gift ‘woke’ royals will have got baby Archie
Meghan Markle, 38, and Prince Harry, 35, are both vocal campaigners for environmental causes and have been branded ‘woke’ by some royal commentators. The couple is spending time in Meghan’s native USA where they are expected to spend Christmas Day with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.
The Sussexes have had a very busy year and from welcoming baby Archie Harrison to the world to launching their own charitable foundation they are currently enjoying some well-earnt rest.
They are expected to return to work in the new year after six weeks away from the royal bubble.
Their son Archie Harrison is now seven-months-old and about to celebrate his first Christmas.
While the little one is unlikely to remember much from his first Christmas Day, Meghan and Harry will want to get him a meaningful gift.

According to one parenting expert, the up-to-date parents will pick ethical presents for little Archie.
Parenting expert and director of The Baby Show Zoe Bonser told Express.co.uk: “Both parents are obviously passionate about the environment and I think this will be reflected in their gifts for Archie – traditional wooden toys made from sustainable wood, such as building blocks or an abacus, or personal keepsakes that can be treasured forever such as a storybook.”
Ms Bonser explained Archie may be crawling already and benefit from toys which get him moving around.
She added: “At seven months, Archie will be really starting to explore his world as he’ll be more mobile and possibly rolling, crawling or shuffling, so anything that will encourage gross motor skills is ideal.
“Balls and push along toys can be great for this age.”
While the Sussexes’ main base is in Britain, Meghan is proud of her American roots and may wish to teach her culture to Archie by giving him US children’s books.
Ms Bosner said: “Babies of all ages also love music, so books with nursery rhymes from both the UK and US, or musical toys are ideal.
“I expect that Meghan and Harry will also pass on something special from their own childhood to Archie, such as one of their favourite teddies or a rocking horse for Archie’s nursery.”
