Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may stop being ‘It couple’ amid Megxit review speculation

Meghan Markle and Harry: Experts discuss one year review

The Duke and the Duchess of Sussex may not be as relevant as they are now in the future, according to US Weekly’s host Molly Mulshine. The presenter claimed the couple may want their life with the Royal Family back at some point during a discussion with co-host Christina Garibaldi.

The two women made the remarks as they discussed the upcoming one-year review of Megxit, the process started by Harry and Meghan when they announced their intention to stepped down as senior royals.

They said the review could be focused mainly on Harry’s military titles, a controversial subject that has led to division among royal fans.

Ms Garibaldi said his military honours are something “that they want to work out” but she warned the couple “can’t have it all”.

Ms Mulshine highlighted that the Duke and the Duchess may one day “no longer be the It couple of the moment” and could seek “a quieter life back within the Royal fold”.

She said: “I think there will come a day when Meghan and Harry are no longer the It couple of the moment. Maybe they will want a little bit of a quieter life back within the royal fold.

“You just never know, so I think that might be why they want to keep that door open.”

As well as the Queen, Prince William is set to take part in the upcoming Megxit discussions when royals will try to hash out an appropriate deal for Meghan and Harry to continue working independently from the Firm.

According to royal commentator Howard Hodgson, the Duke of Cambridge and the Monarch took a particularly hard line with the couple last year, suggesting they could do so again this year.

Mr Hodgson told Express.co.uk: “Charles is easily the softest on Harry. The Queen is very annoyed and his brother William is very very annoyed.

“There is that sort of hard-cutting edge to William that is with the Queen in so far that they believe there is no room for any feelings [in the monarchy].”

And Her Majesty is known to give the monarchy priority over her family’s requests.

Mr Hodgson added: “She [has always] put her personal feelings, and even the feelings of her family, behind her absolute devotion to keep the constitutional monarch on course to support the Government of the day.”
