Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could move to US as ‘things haven’t worked out’ in Windsor
The couple have just got back from a long southern Africa tour and have already said they will take a break from royal life for six weeks. But according to The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to consider moving or setting up a second home in the US. A source said: “There’s an acceptance that things haven’t worked out with the Sussexes full-time in Windsor so they could have a second base in America.”
The insider added: “The Duke and Duchess will be taking some family time towards the end of the year, once their diary commitments are done.
“We are unsure at this time but it will likely be spent between the UK and US.
“Any further inference on their plans is pure speculation.”
The pair and son Archie are expected to have a break in California to spend Thanksgiving with Meghan’s mother.
A spokesman for the couple did not comment on the claims when approached by The Sun.
They have also been said to also fancy living in South Africa, where they spent the majority of this month’s tour.
The revelation comes as Meghan and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, were said to be standing by their husbands at a sombre Royal Family event next month.
Speculation has been rife on whether a rift has developed between Prince Harry and his brother William.
