Meghan Markle and Harry’s Royal Baby name ‘chosen by public’ after Buckingham Palace TRICK

Buckingham Palace may have “tested” a potential Royal Baby name to gauge the public’s reaction, claimed a royal correspondent. The Royal Family’s website recently had new URL links with the names ’Prince Alexander’ and ‘Prince James’ included, fuelling speculation over the Royal Baby’s name. Royal fans became excited that Harry and Meghan’s baby would be called Arthur, James or Alexander as if you tried other names in the running, such as www.royal.uk/princess-grace, it would say “page not found”. But the royals have insisted this was set up “some time ago”, suggesting it is nothing to do with baby names.

A palace spokesman said: “A large number of search term redirects were set up some time ago on royal.uk. This was in order to improve user experience.

“For guidance you will note that other names preceded by ‘prince’ or ‘princess’ produce the same result.”

However, Camilla Tominey suggested Buckingham Palace may have been “testing” the waters to see if the public liked the name or not.

The royal correspondent explained to Nine News Australia: “So the royal.uk website has got a couple of URL’s with ‘/Prince Alexander’, ‘/Prince James’ and other names saved as links.

They could test early whether people liked the name or not

“They don’t work yet but they look as if they could be activated. So Royal fans are obviously completely losing it going ‘it’s a boy and it’s going to be called Alexander or James’.

“But apparently Buckingham Palace has said ‘hang on hold your horses, we do this all the time’.

“Because there are certain search terms that people use to use the website, and therefore we have put these search terms in to give them a better user experience. That could just be a cover.

“Apparently before Prince Louis was born this happened, and a URL was saved for Prince Albert.

“There was this theory that did that do that so fans would spot it and they could test early whether people liked the name or not.

“Prince Albert didn’t go down very well and they called him Louis instead.”

Excitement is building for the birth of Meghan and Harry’s baby, with royal fans starting to descend on Windsor where the Sussexes recently moved.

The royal couple are keeping plans for the baby’s arrival private.

The US-born former actress previously revealed she was expecting her tot at the end of this month or early May but the exact date is not known.

The 37-year-old is looking set to have a May-born baby unless her son or daughter makes an appearance soon.

If the royal baby arrives on Thursday he or she will share a birthday with cousin Princess Charlotte.

A May 1 arrival would see Baby Sussex have the same birthday as Queen Victoria’s son Prince Arthur, actress Joanna Lumley, Lady Sarah Chatto – Princess Margaret’s daughter – and actor Matt Di Angelo.
