Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will feature in a new book, a biography written by two leading royal journalists who claim they will reveal unknown details about the couple. The book, titled Finding Freedom, will be available worldwide from August and the authors boast the book was written “with unique access” and “the participation of those closest to the couple”. But a leading royal commentator has urged the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to prevent its publication, as he warns the book could deepen rifts with other royals.
Richard Fitzwilliams has warned the book could be like “dynamite” and cause “serious harm” for the royal duo.
Though Meghan and Harry have not confirmed whether they have been involved in the making of the book, the royal expert said the couple could easily quash its publication.
Mr Fitzwilliams told Daily Star Online: “What this book has the potential to do is cause further serious harm.”
He added: “This obviously has the potential to be dynamite. Officially Harry and Meghan are not admitting that it is, so to speak, their side of the story.

“As far as I know they are distancing themselves, but it is perfectly well known that the two journalists involved, particularly Omid Scobie, act so to speak like an unofficial spokesperson for the duo.
“But the interesting aspect of this book is that if you write a book called Finding Freedom, that means if you find freedom from something.
“You have to find freedom from something, something you clearly didn’t like and something you felt incarcerated in.
“But the thing is every aspect of this book, every phrase will be picked apart to see what it says about various controversies and rumours which have beset their unhappy, as it turned out, two years as senior working members of the royal family.”

As a result, Mr Fitzwilliams said the couple should have tried to stop if being released.
He said: “My advice would have been not to authorise.
“If they didn’t want this book to come out it wouldn’t, so it will be seen to have their approval and I think it is totally unnecessary myself.
“But they don’t, they see things in a totally different way.”
The book is being written by Omid Scobie, the royal editor of American magazine Harper’s Bazaar, and Carolyn Durand, royal contributor for ELLE.com and OprahMag.com.
In the synopsis, the journalists promise to tell “the true story of Harry and Meghan”.
But Mr Fitzwilliams warns it might be too early for the book to be released, and could cause lasting damage.
He said: “In my opinion it would be sensible to let time heal, because the Queen obviously would love a relationship with Archie and there is no question that she made clear they would always be welcome back.
“That seems most unlikely, but the point is what you put in print has a very considerable effect, and whether you personally done it or those close to you, it could be seen as what they have approved.
“And if they make any comments which are critical of the Royal Family or hurtful that would be most unhelpful.”
