Meghan ‘lied’ about her infamous row with Kate as expert points out ‘deceit’

A body language expert has revealed the exact moment when Meghan Markle appeared to show signs of “regret” over a controversial comment made about the Princess of Wales.

During their tell-all chat with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shocked the world by opening up about their time in the Royal Family.

The couple shared various claims about some members of the Royal Family, including the then-Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

In the interview, Meghan opened up on a disagreement that she and Kate had over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid outfit, prior to her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.

When Meghan recalled the incident, body language expert Jesus Enrique Rosas stated that Meghan showed a sign of “regret”.

After being asked directly if she made Kate cry at her wedding, which had long been rumoured, Meghan replied: “No”.

Ms Rosas stated that, at this moment, Meghan showed two signs that she was not telling the truth.

The expert said: “She does a different kind of lip press this time, in which her lips turn upward and near her nose. She is not confident about what she is saying.

“And what’s more, if you pay attention just to the left side of her face, you can see that she is showing contempt and joy. Neither of those emotions goes with what she’s saying. That way we can assume that she’s lying at that moment.”

Rosas said that when Meghan said, “the reverse happened”, in terms of who made who cry, the Duchess “does a tongue show and averted her eyes to her right”.

He added: “A tongue show can be a quick way to moisten your lips, but it’s also a signal that people regret having said something.

“So, if you stack the deceit signals, you know that that part of the story is fabricated.”

When speaking about Kate, he also noted that Meghan tended to “raise her left eyebrow more” – which could indicate a sense of jealousy.

He added that Meghan did, however, show a genuine side when she spoke of her feelings in the run-up to the couple’s nuptials.

He said: “Her hand gestures when she is talking about the wedding are in sync with her words.

“As she recalls her wedding day, both her facial expressions, her hands and her words are in sync with one another. We can assume that she’s being truthful here.”

Meghan and Harry got married in Windsor in May 2018. The couple announced their decision to step down as senior royals in January 2020, with the couple now settled in California with their two children.
