Prince Harry landed at Los Angeles airport earlier this morning, wearing a grey baseball cap, white shirt and a black face covering. He had a small weekend bag slung over his back as he approached a white Chevrolet. The Duke had flown back to the UK to attend the unveiling of a statue to commemorate his late mother, Princess Diana.
The Duke of Sussex arrived in the UK last Friday and began his quarantine at his former Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage.
He was able to leave isolation after five days having received a negative Covid test.
On Wednesday night he attended the WellChild awards at Kew Gardens, where he was joined by celebrities including Ed Sheeran, Ronnie Wood, Amanda Holden, AJ Pritchard and Abbie Quinnen.
The following day he unveiled a statue to commemorate the Princess of Wales alongside his brother Prince William.
The brother’s came together for the ceremony, which took place at the Sunken Garden in Kensington Palace, one of Diana’s favourite places.
The somber event took place on what would have been Diana’s 60th birthday, and saw the brother’s pull off a large green cloth that was covering the bronze statue.
William and Harry said: “We remember her love, strength and character.
“Qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better.”
They said they hoped the statue would “be seen forever as a symbol of her life and her legacy” and thanked “all those around the world who keep our mother’s memory alive”.
Just a handful of people attended, including Diana’s two sisters, her brother and members of the statue committee.
Their public reunion had been highly anticipated, due to Harry’s recent comments about the Royal Family.
