Meghan has royals ‘scared’ over ‘vision’ for life after Coronation
Royal lookalikes mistaken for Harry and Meghan outside Buckingham Palace
The Royal Family is reportedly “scared” about Meghan Markle’s prospective return to public life as she gears up to become a full-time influencer.
It is thought that The Duchess will make a grand return to Instagram as part of a strategic plan to get back in the public eye, following her and Prince Harry’s Netflix documentary and their well-publicised accusations of racism against the royals.
Over recent weeks, Meghan has made two public appearances in quick succession – one in a video message introducing her friend Misan Harriman ahead of his Ted Talk, and the other at an LA Lakers game, where she and Harry were captured on the jumbotron in front of 20,000 people.
Her exact plans still remain something of a mystery but, according to reports, the royal family remains concerned nonetheless.
One source close to the royal family told The Spectator that Meghan’s vision for a public comeback was “luminous and quite frankly scary”.
Another source insisted that the damage between Meghan and the family had already been done by the time she went public with her accusations.
In a shocking remark, the source went on to claim that the late Queen Elizabeth II herself “saw through Meghan Markle” and even referred to her as “evil” during a drinks reception hosted at Balmoral in August 2022.
“Everybody’s eyebrows hit the ceiling,” the source said of the suspected incident.
“At the drinks before the dinner, a small group were talking to the monarch and she explained that Harry meeting Meghan had become a complete catastrophe and described her as evil.
“By this point we all knew the Queen’s health was in decline and she had months left, she seemed regretful about how things had panned out.”
There is also speculation that Meghan will cash in on her disagreements with the royals, as Entertainment Tonight reported this week that Harry has a four-book deal with Penguin Random House worth an estimated $30-40m, and that Meghan will write at least one of them.
The Duchess is also thought to soon be re-launching her lifestyle blog, ‘The Tig’, which is thought to be yet another attempt at raising her public profile.
While many suspect Meghan will continue to speak openly about her grievances with the royals in the coming months, her PR team insists that she has “moved on” and is “going about her life in the present”.
