Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to visit the UK and Germany next month. It will be the Sussexes’ first visit to the UK since the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June. Speaking on the latest episode of Palace Confidential, royal experts discussed the couple’s pending visit, and, in particular they already pointed out, slight similarities to the way the Royal Family conduct their official royal tours, for example, the schedule release.
Palace Confidential’s host Luke Blackall said: “We’ve got the breakdown of what they’ll be doing.
“It does have a feel of the royal tour, by announcing your schedule in advance.
“That’s also not necessarily what a non-working royal would do.”
Royal correspondent and author Victoria Murphy added: “There are elements of the way that they’ve, kind of, constructed their independent set-up [to] echo how things were when they were in the royal household.
Referring to the couple “announcing it in advance”, she said: “You could say, well, it’s going to come out that they’re appearing at these events.
“So it, sort of, makes sense in a way to just go ahead and announce it.”
She added that it is a “neat way of handling” and telling what is going to happening up ahead.
Ms Murphy added that the visit will look “quite similar” to how the couple previous worked when they were senior royals.

She noted that a lot of the events planned are for charities they “supported” or for the Invictus Games, “in Harry’s case, set up” when they were working royals.
Despite this, the couple, as non-working royals, they no longer “bring that formal presentation of the monarchy”.
On September 5, the couple are due to arrive in Manchester for the One Young World 2022 Summit.
At the event, Meghan is scheduled to present the keynote speech.

The following day, on September 6, Meghan and Harry will be at the Invictus Games 2023 – One Year to Go event in Germany.
On September 8, they will be attending the WellChild Awards 2022 in London.
It remains unknown if the couple are bringing their two children for the short trip.
The couple announced their decision to step down as senior royals in 2020, and currently reside in the US.
