Meghan Markle’s social media return discussed by expert

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have found a “gateway back” into the British Royal Family, a royal commentator has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are believed to have “reconnected” with Harry’s uncle Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh.

Edward and Sophie are considered to be the third-highest ranking couple within the monarchy after only the King and Queen, and Prince William and Catherine, the Princess of Wales.

Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the family has been frosty for years, and the break has been exacerbated by a series of allegations against the institution as a whole since stepping down.

But mending bridges with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh could offer the royal pair a way back into the fold in the long term, entertainment expert Mark Boardman suggested.

Boardman said: “Meghan and Harry have reconnected with Sophie and Edward, and this renewed connection may serve as their gateway back into the royal household.”

The commentator argued Sophie, considered to be a favorite of the late Queen, also has a close relationship with Harry.

And when Meghan first joined the British Royal Family, Elizabeth II turned to her youngest daughter-in-law to guide the new arrival through the dos and don’ts of royal life.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Boardman added: “Despite a significant age gap, both couples have endured substantial public scrutiny over the years.”

An insider however denied Boardman’s claims and told Page Six that there is “no truth to this speculation”.

They added: “There have been no conversations between the families mentioned regarding the matters being suggested, or in this case fabricated.”

In addition to the public attention the couple both drew, Sophie and Meghan came from a similar middle-class background and had both been career women before joining the family – suggesting to the late Queen the Duchess of Edinburgh would be of great help to Meghan as she settled into her new life.
