Meghan and Harry signed the multi-million dollar lucrative deal with Netflix in 2020, a few months after their royal departure. After some speculation over whether the couple had requested changes to their upcoming docuseries, royal expert Angela Levin has claimed that the couple “haven’t been able to control” anything to do with the series.

TalkTV host Julia Hartley-Brewer asked Ms Levin about “how much editing has been done”, particularly since the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Ms Levin replied: “You know, I mean, they’ve haven’t been able to control it.

“Meghan has come out and said it hasn’t come out in a way that they would have preferred.

“I always think that prehaps there’s something in there that she doesn’t want now to be in there.”

The highly-anticipated docuseries will air around one month before Harry’s memoir, Spare, is published on January 10, 2023.

It was previously reported that the couple had wanted to distance themselves from the upcoming docuseries, amid fears that she series could flop.

A lot of the filming took place prior to the death of Harry’s grandmother and this reportedly prompted the Sussexes to request “extensive cuts” to be made.

A source also reportedly told The Sun that Harry “simply does not want” the series coming out “before Christmas”.

Until the docuseries, no content has been released under the couple’s deal with the popular streaming service.

Earlier this year, Netflix quietly dropped a animated series that Meghan had been working on, titled Pearl.

The series was set to be created through Archewell Productions.
