Following their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Ms King said Harry had told her that talks with Prince William and Prince Charles were “not productive”. On US CBS TV show, The Morning, she also revealed that the couple have given her the latest update on what’s happening behind the scenes after the controversial Oprah Winfrey interview. Ms King said: “I’m not trying to break news.
“But, I did actually call them to see how they were feeling and it’s true Harry has talked to his brother and he has talked to his father too.”
It has been reported that senior Palace sources were annoyed at the fact Ms King announced her updates so soon after the fallout of the Oprah interview.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror a Palace source said revelations “would cause alarm” among senior royals.
The source added: “This type of behaviour could have huge implications for trust between the camps moving forward.
“None of the households, the Queen, Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, will be giving a running commentary on private conversations.
“The word I was given was that those conversations were not productive but they are glad that they have at least started a conversation.
“And I think what is still upsetting to them is that the palace keeps saying they want to work it out privately.
“But, yet they believe these false stories are coming out that are very disparaging against Meghan still, no one in the royal family has talked to Meghan yet.”

The presenter of The Morning, Ms King, is a good friend of Oprah Winfrey.
In a 2006 issue of O, the Oprah Magazine, Oprah spoke of their enduring friendship.
She said: “Something about this relationship feels otherworldly to me, like it was designed by a power and a hand greater than my own,.
“Whatever this friendship is, it’s been a very fun ride, and we’ve taken it together.”
