Meghan and Harry call coronavirus a ‘mental health crisis’ while self-isolating in mansion
One of Meghan Markle’s close friends has come forward to reveal how the royal couple are really feeling about the coronavirus pandemic. The Duchess of Sussex is said to be taking steps to protect her family, requiring “everyone on their team, the people who buy groceries and run errands, to wear latex gloves at all times and are to follow a strict hygiene protocol”, the source said.
However, it seems the Duke and Duchess are certain the virus is affecting more than just people’s physical health.
While the couple are hauled up in their multi-million dollar mansion Meghan has insisted “Only a select few will be able to interact with her.”
However, she feels “compelled to help” with what she perceives to be a “mental health crisis.”
The friend told the Daily Mail: “Meghan said just because they are isolating themselves, it doesn’t mean they can’t help.
“They aren’t just sitting around at home doing nothing.
They continued: “Meghan told her inner circle that what’s happening in the world right now is a mental health crisis.
“She said they are working with a mental health non-profit to create some sort of online support system for those most vulnerable, like new mothers suffering from postpartum depression.
“People who lack support systems need reassurance that they are not alone.”
JUST IN: Coronavirus UK: NHS suspends ALL non-urgent surgery to free up beds
Meghan and Harry returned Canada to reunite with their son Archie just after their final Royal engagements came to a close.
Prince Harry arrived just days before Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the borders would be closed to non-citizens.
The Prime Minister had been self-isolating as his wife had tested positive for the disease.
Citizens have been urged against any non-essential travel which has dashed any dreams the couple may have had about splitting their time between Canada, LA and the UK.

Harry is said to feel “helpless” about the situation in the UK as cases soared to almost 2,000 in one day.
Cases of the coronavirus in the UK rose from 407 to a worrying 1,950 yesterday, forcing the government into action.
The NHS are currently putting plans into action to reduce bed blocking and free up space for patients with the deadly disease.
Upon being back in Canada, the close friend said Meghan admitted that Harry “feels a bit helpless and isolated out in the middle of nowhere, but is grateful that they are all together as a family.”
The source said Harry is “concerned” for the Queen and his father Prince Charles, urging them to take extra precautions during the coronavirus pandemic.
Meanwhile, The friend also revealed Meghan has concerns about coronavirus.
However, “She’s been diligent about not touching her face and washing her hands.”
They explained: “She said panicking won’t do any good.
“It’s just not an option in her household. She doesn’t want Archie picking up on any unnecessary stress and tension.
“Her home is her sanctuary and it’s a place of peace and calm.”
This comes after reports that Meghan and Harry accepted an invitation from the Queen to join her at Balmoral this summer.
Time will only tell if the event will go ahead or if the Queen will renan isolated from her grandchild.
