Manhunt for murder suspect with public warned not to approach him
A manhunt has been launched for a murder suspect.
Greater Manchester Police has released pictures of John Bellfield, 28, who is wanted on suspicion of the murder of Thomas Campbell, 38.
People have been told not to approach Bellfield if they see him and instead call 999.
It comes after the victim was found with fatal injuries outside his home on Riverside, Mossley, on July 3.
Officers have described the attack on the father-of-two as ‘horrific’.
Bellfield is from the Openshaw area and is believed to have links to Lancashire.
But he could be anywhere in the country, according to officers.
‘Our detectives continue to investigate Thomas’ death in Mossley after his body was discovered on the morning of 3 July.
‘We’ve charged three people so far and continue to keep Thomas’ family updated while our specialist officers support them.’
