A man was left extremely shaken after waking to find a man standing over his bed demanding cash and waving around a knife.

The man handed over money and the perpetrator fled the scene taking with him an Apple watch.

It happened on Sunnyside Street in Belfast in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A woman was also in the house at the time of the incident and she was also left traumatised.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 or provide information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
