The search is on for a ‘guardian angel’ who a partygoer says saved his life after his fiancé cheated on him twice on New Year’s Eve. Nicholas Fearn is desperately trying to find the man who stopped to talk to him after hearing him crying and seeing he did not have any shoes on, nor a coat, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He does not know the person’s name but says he was tall, skinny, had dark hair, had a cat and a girlfriend, and said he worked in TV production.

The 26-year-old told Express.co.uk: “I just want to say ‘Thank you for saving my life. If you walked past, I could have found the Thames and jumped in.

“My mum described him as my guardian angel. I’d say the same.”

Mr Fearn’s new year’s eve trip had started off well with a visit to the Tower of London with his fiancé and then on to a friend’s birthday party in Southwark, South London.

They kissed at midnight and the PR director, and freelance tech journalist, says he was having a nice time, until his world fell apart a few hours later.

He said: “I got tired and went to look for my partner so that we could go back to the hotel.

“I went into one of the bedrooms and found my partner performing a sexual act on a man who was also at the party.

He added: “When I opened that door and saw my beloved fiancé cheating on me, my world came crumbling down.

“I ran out of my friend’s flat without putting my coat and shoes on. So, I was freezing.

“I’m from Wales and don’t know my way around London. Plus, I have autism and am classed as a vulnerable adult.

“I walked as far as I could while crying. I ended up in a random park, sitting down on the pavement.

“This guy, who told me he works in production, stopped and asked me if I was okay.”

Mr Fearn said he has suffered with suicidal thoughts “all of my life” and suggested to the man he “wanted to end my life”.

He went on: “At this point, my parents had called police as they were worried for my safety.

“They tried ringing my partner, but he either didn’t answer or hung up the phone.

“My dad and the police both spoke to this kind man. He asked me I wanted to go back to his flat for tea.

“On the way to his flat, he calmed me down by telling me that everything would be fine.”

Mr Fearn says he was in utter shock after seeing his fiancé with another man, and then it got even worse.

He added: “I never expected my partner to cheat on me and fail to come after me when I ran out of the flat.

“The thing is, he could have found my location via Snapchat Maps.

“Instead of coming to my rescue, he proceeded to leave the party and go back to our hotel to have sex with another man.

“How do I know? Well, when my parents got to London and picked me up from the station, we went to the hotel to get my belongings.

“I had forgotten the room number, so my dad had to ring the 24/7 concierge and get a spare key.

“My family and I went up to the room, and we found my partner completely naked with a man. He was a different guy from the party, so I was cheated on twice in one night.”

Mr Fearn says his three-year relationship is now well and truly over and they will not be getting married in October, like they had planned.

But added: “I have forgiven him for what he did to me on New Year’s and, with support from my family and friends, am learning to move on.

“I actually feel sorry for my partner. He’s had to move back to England to live with his parents.

“He has lost his car (which I own), his home, his friends, my family, and so on.”

Mr Fearn had previously tweeted to his anonymous ‘guardian angel’ : “On New Year’s Eve, I caught my fiancé cheating on me at a party. I ended up experiencing suicidal thoughts in the middle of London.

“While I was crying in a park, a kind man brought me to his flat, offered me tea and ultimately saved my life. I don’t know your name, but thank you.”
