Man hijacks airline bus and goes on a 17-mile joyride

A man stole an American Airlines bus and went on a 17-mile joyride with police on the chase.

Burshawn Quildon, 43, allegedly hijacked an American Airlines bus from John F Kennedy International Airport shortly before 2am on Wednesday, police said.

Quildon apparently hopped onto a bus that was left running in Lot 12 of the New York City airport.

An American Airlines employee followed the bus and called cops.

Quildon traversed three boroughs. He drove on the Van Wyck Expressway and Grand Central Parkway in Queens, then FDR Drive in Manhattan and over the Brooklyn Bridge into Brooklyn, police said.

Cops pulled him over on Cadman Plaza West.

In the midst of the arrest, Quildon could be heard asking officers if he was going to be taken to jail, WABC reported.

There were no other passengers on the bus and no one was injured in the pursuit.

Quildon has been charged with grand larceny of an automobile and criminal possession of stolen property.

It was not Quildon’s first run-in with the law.

In 2015, Quildon was arrested for domestic robbery. He reportedly has multiple other arrests for assault, robbery, transit fraud and marijuana possession.
