A murder probe has been launched after a dog owner, 45, was found after burglars broke into his home and stole his adorable dog.

Police rushed to an address in Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe on Tuesday morning after reports burglars were trying to snatch a white Labradoodle.

While at the property, they found the body of Donald Patience, 45, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
