A man has been charged with murder after a mother-of-two was stabbed to death in the capital.

Yasmin Begum was found with grave injuries in the Bethnal Green area of London after failing to collect her children from school.

Paramedics battled to save her life at the scene but nothing could be done to save the 40-year-old.

Quyum Miah, 40, of High Street, Homerton, east London, has been charged with murder, burglary and two counts of fraud by false representation.

He is due to appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
