Man charged with 2017 murder of young father stabbed to death for his Rolex
A second man has been charged with the murder of a young father who was stabbed to death by moped muggers for his £7,000 Rolex watch.
Danny Pearce, 31, was shot at and repeatedly knifed by two attackers after leaving a jazz club in Greenwich, southeast London, with his girlfriend back in July 2017.
Jordan Bailey-Mascoll was convicted and jailed for life over his involvement in the killing a year later.
Police have now confirmed another man, 23-year-old David Egan, has been charged with murder.
Egan, from Deptford in southeast London, is also charged with possession of a firearm, robbery and possession of an offensive weapon on the same date as the killing.
Scotland Yard said he is further charged with two additional robberies – on July 11 and July 13, 2017 – along with possession of an offensive weapon and having an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He is due to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
