Man arrested after car crashes into police station and sets road on fire
A man has been arrested after a car ploughed into the front of a police station in north London.
Footage, posted on Twitter, shows a vehicle partially embedded into the entrance of Edmonton Police Station in Enfield.
A man, who appears to be the driver, is seen getting out of a vehicle before pouring liquid onto the road and setting it on fire.
The incident happened shortly before 7pm and a man was arrested in connection.
Scotland Yard confirmed the station has been evacuated and there are no reports of injuries.
Met Police said: The vehicle remains at the scene. Specialist officers are in attendance while it is examined.
‘At this stage we have not been informed of any injuries.
‘London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade are present.
‘The police station has been evacuated and a large police cordon is in place.’
