Man, 19, falls from balcony at Nottingham Trent University student halls
Officers cordoned off the Nottingham Trent halls in the city centre after the man, who has not been named, fell at 3.50am today. Police remained at the area on Hampden Street until this evening. The man is said to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
He has since been taken to hospital after he plunged from a second floor balcony of Nottingham Trent University’s student halls, falling onto the pavement below.
Traffic is unaffected by the cordon.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “A 19-year-old man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after falling from the balcony of a property in Nottingham.
“We were called to Hampden Street at 3.48am today.
“A scene has been set up while we continue with our enquiries.
“At this time we are not treating the incident as suspicious. The man’s family has been informed.
“If anyone has any information about the incident we’d ask them to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 115 of 5 October 2019.”
