The Duke and Duchess currently reside in both Kensington Palace and Amner Hall, moving to Norfolk on the weekends. However, sources claim Kate and William are now looking to relocate themselves to Windsor.

Kate and William will reportedly “move to Berkshire and start a quiet life in the country”, as at “this stage in their life suburbia makes perfect sense”.

The Duke and Duchess are believed to be looking to move to Fort Belvedere, a Grade II listed house towards the southern end of Windsor Great Park.

The fort is owned by the Crown Estate and leased to the billionaire Weston family, close friends of the royals.

A source close to the royals claimed the Cambridge couple see it as “perfect place’ to raise Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Sue Barnes, of Lavender Green Flowers said the move makes “utter sense”.

She told the outlet: “If you’re a working Royal, what people regard as ‘real country’ is not going to fit.

“Here, we’re used to celebrities, there’s no fuss, and you can pull up the drawbridge.

“I’d say that there’s no better area for the Cambridge’s.”

However, friends of Kate and William are said to have been left “aghast” by the planned move to Berkshire according to the outlet.

An Eton contemporary of William said many don’t consider Berkshire to be “proper countryside”.

They added: “People can be very snotty about that area west of London, but that mainly comes out of ignorance.”

A source previously told the Mail on Sunday Anmer Hall no longer suits the Cambridge royals.

They said: “Anmer Hall made sense while William was a helicopter pilot in East Anglia and it was useful for Christmases at Sandringham, but it doesn’t really work any more.

“It’s a little too far away for weekends, but Windsor is a perfect compromise. They are eyeing up options in the area.”

It comes after a royal source told OK! Magazine the Duke and Duchess have house rules such as no shouting and no going to bed angry.

They told the outlet: “The children are encouraged to talk about their feelings.

“They express their concerns over school subjects, a swimming class, a tricky ballet manoeuvre, a missed tennis rally, or seeing children starving on a TV ad. But a talk ensues and a solution found.

“There is no question of one parent saying ‘no’ and the other saying ‘yes’ later on as Kate and William want to present a unified parental front to their children.”
