Another tweeted: ‘What happened at Victoria station? We’ve been evacuated, a lot of trucks from London fire brigade, crowds start to be big.’
Sharing a picture of huge crowds at the station, one Twitter user warned: ‘Don’t go to Victoria Station! Mad busy right now.’
Transport for London said: ‘Victoria station is currently closed while while we respond to a fire alert.
‘Please use alternative routes for now – we’ll keep you updated.’
