An 18-year-old man was “seriously assaulted” yesterday evening, on April 23. Kent Police are now “combing” parts of the centre to find the attacker, according to reports.
The incident occurred between 8.45pm and 8.55pm near the junction with Station Road.
The victim’s injuries were “consistent with stab wounds”, Kent Police reported.
Officers arrived at the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service.
After the man’s conditions were examined, he was taken to a London hospital.
One, quoted in KentOnline, said: “What is happening to Maidstone? It used to be such a quiet place, but it’s constant trouble now.”
Another added: “This side of town is frightening now, there seems to be something going wrong every weekend.
