M25 traffic latest: M25 CLOSED after serious accident – Air Ambulance at scene

Traffic on the M25 clockwise is also being held for the air ambulance to land. The major motorway has been closed seen about 5.30am this morning and major traffic delays can be expected this morning. A crane and road sweeper are believed to have collided.
Emergency services including Kent police are in attendance
Highways England said at 7.12am the clockwise carriageway at J4 will also be closed “due to the severity of the incident”.
The incident took place between J5 for the M26 and J4 for Orpington.
INRIX, the traffic and travel service, says: “M25 anticlockwise closed, queueing traffic due to serious accident, road sweeper and a crane involved between J5 M26 and J4 (Orpington).
“The road has been closed since 5.25am to attend to the accident, there is approximately one mile of trapped traffic, with queues on the other side due to onlookers. Police held traffic earlier at J5 to lay out the cones for the closure.”
A diversion is in place via the A21, A25 and the A224 through Sevenoaks and Badgers Mount.
