Two lanes of four on the clockwise motorway have been closed between junctions 16 and 17 after a “multi-vehicle collision”. According to National Highways, there are delays of “approximately 60 minutes” on the M25 between junctions 15 and 17.
National Highways reported the lane closures and delays at 2:42pm.
All lanes have since been reopened, however drivers are suffering delays up to an hour.
Traffic systems company Inrix said at 1:56pm: “Two lanes closed and queuing traffic due to accident on M25 clockwise from Junction 16 M40 J1A to J17 A412 Denham Way (Maple Cross).
“Congestion to Junction 13 (Staines). Lanes three and four (of four) are closed.”
Google Maps shows traffic slowed towards Junction 11 on the M25, before St Peter’s Way, Chertsey.
Highways England also reported junction 13 will be closed on Monday night from 10pm.
