Looking down to the ground with a sunken head Prince Charles appears totally heartbroken as he recalls memories from his father’s exceedingly long life. He expresses “how lucky” he was to have his father around for almost a century in the heartbreaking moment. The comments come as part of a new BBC documentary ‘Prince Philip, the Royal Family Remembers’ which delves into the life of Britain’s longest serving consort.
The sadness in Charles’ eyes is apparent as he chokes up discussing his late father the Duke of Edinburgh.
The Duke, who died aged 99 on April 9 2021 is also fondly remembered and paid tribute to by a host of other Royals including Prince Harry and Prince William.
In dedication, Prince Charles says: “We were lucky to have him for nearly 100 years.”
Other members of the Royal Family also share touching tributes in the advert.

Prince William says: “He has always been a huge presence behind everything we have done really.”
While Prince Harry adds: “What you see is what you got with my grandfather.”
The Duke of Sussex went on to pay tribute adding how the late Prince Philip was ”unapologetically him” throughout his 99-year life.
While Zara Tindall, the eldest granddaughter of The Queen and Prince Philip shared her sadness through a touching reflection on the Duke’s life.

She said: “You never really prepare yourself for losing him because he was always there.”
Prince Charles’ comments come as major questions remain as to the kind of monarch he will be once he succeeds the Queen.
The speculative claims by royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti who suggested Prince Charles will find it “very hard” to fill the Queen’s shoes.
He claimed this is due to her beloved status across the country and the Commonwealth.

Buckingham Palace is reportedly focused on “bolstering” the popularity of Prince Charles, ahead of his accession to the British throne.
Jonathan Sacerdoti told Express.co.uk that the Queen’s “incredible leadership” over the last seven decades had made it difficult for the future king to “step into her shoes”.
At 95 years old, Queen Elizabeth II is due to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee next June, with a four-day Bank Holiday planned as part of the festivities.
