We all dream about what we’d do with a big lottery win, and one ticket holder could find this their new reality if they guess tonight’s numbers correctly. A staggering £12million jackpot is up for grabs tonight – and you’ve got to be in it to win it.

Millions of Brits have played the lotto each week since its creation in 1994, almost 30 years ago.

Whether you pick your favourite numbers of plump for a lucky dip each week, tickets feature a choice of six numbers from one to 59.

The draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday, meaning more of a chance to get your hand on the million pound prize fund.

Punters have until 6.45pm tonight to buy a ticket – it costs £2 to play and tickets can be purchased online or in some shops.

The Saturday, April 24 winning numbers will be announced at 7.45pm.

How to check my lottery numbers

If you’ve not got the full six numbers but have matched three, four or even five, you may still find yourself a few quid richer.

To check how much you’ve won, enter your numbers on the National Lottery website.

Select the last 7 days and which day you’ve played with those numbers, either Wednesday or Saturday or potentially both.

How much have I won on the lotto?

To win £1million, players need to match five main balls plus the Bonus ball.

If you’ve got five main numbers but no bonus ball, you will win £1,750.

Four main numbers are worth £140 while three will see players win £30 and two means a Free Lucky Dip.
