London Underground driver suspended after ‘free Palestine’ chant
A London Underground driver who led passengers in a “free Palestine” chant on a Tube train as he transported them to a massive rally, has been suspended.
Addressing the passengers over the speaker system, the driver said “free free”, before those inside one carriage shout “Palestine”.
The incident happened on Saturday October 21 as around 100,000 protesters took part in a pro-Palestinian demonstration in central London.
Continuing his message on the politically-charged subject of the Israel-Hamas war, the London Underground worker added: “Hope you all have a blessed day today, and look after yourselves”.
Transport for London said the driver has been suspended pending further investigation, reports My London.
