The busy commuter train station has been evacuated after the fire alarm was sounded.

Witnesses say they have “no idea” what is going on but there is a large police presence.

One person wrote on Twitter: “Liverpool street station evacuated, no idea whats going on but a lot of police sirens.”

A second person said: “An evacuation alarm going off at Liverpool Street followed by absolutely no one moving has got to be the most London thing that’s ever happened to me.”
