London double stabbing: Teenager and man rushed to hospital after Brent attack

Emergency services scrambled to Carlton Avenue East in North London to reports of stabbings at 2:45pm today, Tuesday July 9. The London Ambulance Service found a teenager had been stabbed, but was not in a life threatening condition, and moments later they found another person suffering from stab wounds. Carlton Avenue East has been cordoned off and people have been asked to avoid Preston Park, which has now been shut.

There have not been any arrests made so far in connection with the incident.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “Both males have been transported to London hospitals for treatment. Crime scenes and cordons are in place.

“Officers from Brent investigate. At this early stage there have been no arrests.”

This comes just days after a murder probe was launched after a man was found dead in Wembley on Sunday, July 8.

Officers in Wembley have said that a section 60, which gives police the authority to stop and search, has been given in the area.

A Twitter user wrote: “North Wembley is getting worse every day.

“So much crime stabbing, drug dealing and burglaries.

“I hope this will be clamped down on once and and for all.”

Another person, Jess, tweeted: “There really is a lot happening in Brent right now.

“Another stabbing in Wembley today.”

There has been a surge in London’s knife epidemic with more than 30 deaths in the capital since the start of 2019.

Only last week, on July 6, two women and a man were arrested after two men were stabbed.

The victims, who were in their 20s and 30s, were found with multiple wounds after their attack in Hounslow, West London.
