London BLOODBATH: Teenager left with serious injuries after shooting in Wandsworth
Met Police officers arrived at 9.50pm after reports of shots being fired in Tooting. But when officers arrived at the secen, there was no trace of suspects or anyone injured. But around ten minutes later, officers were called shortly after 10pm to a residential address on Blackshaw Road.
There they found a 16-year-old boy who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
The boy was taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital, where he is said to remian in a serious condition.
Officers from Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating.
Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
It was the latest violent incident to take place in the capital.
A Metropolitan Police statement said: “The injured male was taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
“His family has been notified. We await further updates.
“Officers from Trident and Area Crime Command investigate. At this early stage there have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.”
It is the latest incident top blight the capital’s streets as violent crime dramatically increases.
Just over one week ago. an 18-year-old boy was left in a critical conditions after being repeatedly stabbed in borad daylight on Arcola Street, Dalston, east London.
