Lip reader reveals Sophie’s panic after George goes missing
A professional lip reader has claimed that Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, realised there was a child missing on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the King’s Coronation debut this afternoon.
Speaking to the Sunday Express, the lip reader, having watched the family’s interactions above crowds this afternoon, said that the Duchess asked Kate, the Princess of Wales, where Prince George was.
She allegedly said: “Theres a kid? missing…Where’s George?”
The lip reader claimed that the princess replied “yeah” before nodding and laughing.
The young royal, nine, was not standing with his mother, father, Prince William, sister Princess Charlotte and youngest brother Louis.
The four were seen standing to the King’s right, alongside the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their children.
The prince was also on the balcony, but just out of eyeshot to their left, clad in red standing with the King’s other pages.
