After quitting as senior royals and moving to California early last year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their second child Lilibet to the world. Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana was born on June 4, 2021 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Her name pays homage to her great-grandmother and makes reference to the nickname given to the Queen by her father during her childhood.

Over this past festive season, Harry and Meghan released their first-ever official photograph of their daughter, as she featured on their Christmas card.

The photo shows Harry holding little Archie on his lap while Meghan holds Lili.

The 11th great-grandchild for Her Majesty the Queen wears a white outfit and laughs while being suspended mid-air by her mother.

Despite their link to one of the most famous families in the world, Harry and Meghan tend to keep their family life quite private.

A few anecdotes about the children have been shared by their parents but otherwise, Lili and Archie are relatively sheltered from public life.

Royal watchers have speculated in recent months about whether the Royal Family is kept up to date with milestones in the children’s lives after Meghan revealed during her appearance on the Ellen show that young Lili had begun to teeth.

There has also been heavy speculation as to whether the Queen has met her namesake in person as since moving across the pond, Harry has only returned to the UK twice.

However, PR expert and royal commentator Kinsey Schofield claims the Queen and Lilibet have already met.

Ms Schofield claims a meeting between the Queen and her namesake great-grandchild has happened via video call.

She told Express.co.uk: “It is my understanding that the Queen and Lili have met each other over Zoom.”

However, the founder of Los Angeles-based royals site ToDiForDaily.com also claims that the pair won’t meet in person unless a solution is found to Harry’s security concerns.

Ms Schofield said: “Unfortunately, I do not see Lili meeting the Queen in person unless the Sussexes find a solution to their security concerns within a reasonable amount of time.

“If Prince Harry opted to bring his family to the UK to see the Queen sometime soon, I am confident that the Queen and Prince Charles would provide adequate security for his family to ensure their safety.”

A legal representative for the Duke recently said Harry wants to bring his family to visit from the US but they are “unable to return to his home” because it is “too dangerous”.

The prince lost his taxpayer-funded police security when he and Meghan stepped back from their roles as working members of the Royal Family.

Harry is currently involved in a legal dispute with the UK Government after the Home Office decided not to let him pay for police protection for his family when he is visiting.

Harry’s lawyer said he has filed a claim for judicial review because he wants to fund the security himself, rather than ask taxpayers to foot the bill.

Regarding their security provisions, a statement from the legal representative for the Duke read: “The UK will always be Prince Harry’s home and a country he wants his wife and children to be safe in.

“With the lack of police protection, comes too great a personal risk.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex personally fund a private security team for their family, yet that security cannot replicate the necessary police protection needed while in the UK.

“In the absence of such protection, Prince Harry and his family are unable to return to his home.”
