Lib Dem humiliation: Layla Moran destroyed as awkward NHS comment is mocked – ‘Won’t cope’
Ms Moran’s Liberal Democrats endured a torrid general election, as Mr Johnson’s Conservatives romped to victory. But the Lib Dem leadership hopeful tried her best to savage Mr Johnson over the NHS. In a video shared by the Lib Dems, the party wrote on Twitter: “Boris Johnson’s promises to the NHS simply do not go far enough.
“He can’t be trusted with the future of our struggling health services.”
The clip attached shows Ms Moran speaking about the NHS.
She said: “I do have concerns about how much this is deliverable.
“3.4 percent is what this money amounts to over five years, but NHS bosses are telling us that actually they need four percent to just stay still.
“So how can they suggest that they’re going to bring down waiting times, when actually we already know it’s not quite enough.”
But her comment saw Twitter users turn on Ms Moran.
On said: “No choice and anyway the Nation must trust him as they gave him a huge majority!!”
Another wrote: “Sadly you, Lib Dem’s abstained on a crucial vote regarding the NHS.

While a fourth replied: “Tough, he will be in charge for the next decade.
“Good work for forcing the election and delivering a proper #Brexit.”
