Leading Brexiteer makes SHOCK claim – ‘Nigel Farage could stop us leaving the EU’
The message was delivered by Suzanne Evans, formerly the deputy chair of UKIP and now involved with Leavers of Britain. She warned if the Brexit Party and Conservative Party both run in a General Election it could split the Eurosceptic vote, allowing Remain supporting parties to take power. The Liberal Democrats have vowed to stop Brexit whilst Labour has promised a second referendum, with ‘remain’ as an option, on any Tory EU exit deal.
Speaking to Express.co.uk Ms Evans said: “I think it’s pretty clear that Boris Johnson intends to deliver Brexit, I don’t think there’s much doubt about that.
“I do worry that if Nigel Farage fields candidates against any Conservative candidate that’s signed up potentially to a no deal Brexit.
“I can unfortunately conceive of a situation in those circumstances where Nigel Farage is the man who prevents us leaving the European Union.
“He needs to think very carefully about what he does in that situation.”

The Brexit Party argues it needs to stand candidates to put pressure on the Conservatives, and prevent the party compromising.
Speaking on LBC radio Brexit Party Chairman Richard Tice said: “We’re focussed on taking votes from the Conservative Party and Labour Party.
“We know that’s the way of maximising pressure to get this done.”
Separately Mr Tice told Express.co.uk he wouldn’t rule out holding talks with Mr Johnson to prevent the pro-Brexit vote being split.
Mr Johnson has vowed to take Britain out of the EU on October 31, but some MPs in Parliament are plotting to block this.
If they succeed it is likely to trigger a General Election, in which Brexit would be a defining issue.
During last month’s Brecon and Radnorshire by-election the Green Party and Plaid Cyrmu withdrew their candidates to prevent the anti-Brexit vote being split.
The election was won by Liberal Democrat Jane Dodds, whilst Labour took just five percent of the vote.
