The 18-year-old, who is said to be the Queen’s “favourite” grandchild, gave her first TV interview last September when she opened up about her close bond with the late Duke of Edinburgh. Lady Louise spoke about the Queen’s late husband in the BBC One documentary, Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers, and discussed her close relationship with him.
During the programme, she also spoke about following in her grandfather’s footsteps with her love of carriage driving.
Her appearance in the documentary led to people referring to her as “lovely Lady Louise” and led to speculation as to whether she would take a more active role in royal life.
Lady Louise and her brother, James, 14, have stayed mostly out of the public eye throughout their life, and usually, only attend formal events such as Trooping the Colour and royal weddings.
This means the public could see her being roped into the plans for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations which are ongoing throughout the year.
In particular, she could be roped into looking after some of the royal children at any upcoming celebrations for the monarch’s 70-year reign.
Louise has been deemed very responsible and as she has undertaken babysitting duties at family events before.
She took care of the Cambridge’s children, Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three, during their summer holiday at Balmoral Castle.
While holidaying with her grandmother and other members of the Firm in Scotland, she is said to have taken on the role of helping her cousin Prince William and Kate entertain their three kids.
A royal insider told French magazine Gala, that the teen had “endeared herself to everyone by looking after William and Kate’s children (Charlotte, George, and Louis) when they were up here.”
A royal source also claimed that Lady Louise had taught Princess Charlotte how to draw the rabbits that hop around the Queen’s Scottish estate.
The source claimed: “Louise loves drawing and sketching and was very patiently trying to get Charlotte to do pictures of rabbits and deer.”
Having looked after the three Cambridge kids before, and after making it clear she dotes on her young relatives, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see Louise helping out again.
In addition, Louise is known to be incredibly close to her grandmother, so she is likely to want to show support for her at such an important time.

While Lady Louise is lower in the royal line of succession than her cousins, sources have also claimed that she is the Queen’s favourite grandchild.
A royal insider told The Sun in 2019: “The Queen loves the fact that Louise and James relish their time at Balmoral, and she has become particularly close to Louise, who seems to have become her favourite grandchild, closely followed by James.”
A grown-up Lady Louise was spotted chatting to her grandmother at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in 2018.
Whatever Louise said, she clearly made her grandmother laugh as the Queen could barely contain her smile in the sweet snap.
Sophie and Prince Edward’s daughter Louise also lives in close proximity to the monarch, as her home Bagshot Park in Surrey is just 11 miles away from Her Majesty’s Windsor estate.
In addition, Louise appears to have followed in the Queen’s footsteps with her love of horses.
In 2015, she attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show alongside her mother Sophie Wessex, and the Queen.
The show is known to be one of the Queen’s favourite events of the year, and Louise often attends with her grandmother.
The relationship between the Royal Family and horses is a long-standing one, particularly in more modern times.
It has already been announced that a selection of events will feature horses, and from 12 – 15 May the Platinum Jubilee Celebration will be held in the same arena used by Royal Windsor Horse Show.
As Louise has shown a love of equine-based activities and events she could make an appearance at the production which “will take the audience on a gallop through history from Elizabeth I to the present day”, according to the Royal Website.
If she does decide to attend, Louise could be joined by some of her other relatives including Princess Anne – one of the most well-known figures linking royalty and horse riding.
