King Charles to be ‘crowned’ two days before official Coronation

King Charles III will be “crowned” two days before his official Coronation this weekend.

Amazon chiefs will carry out a special ceremony after landing in London tomorrow, with a figurehead representing the rainforest’s tribes to bestow a headdress composed of locally sourced feathers on the monarch’s head.

Uyunkar Domingo Peas will conduct the ceremony after landing in the capital from Ecuador and recognise the King’s years of campaigning against deforestation.

The event has taken pride of place in Charles’s diary, and is scheduled for 2pm on Thursday, May 4, two days before the Saturday, May 6 Coronation.

Mr Domingo Peas revealed the plans during an interview earlier this evening, stating the crown is a “sign of respect” from the Achuar people.

Speaking to TalkTV’s Tom Newton Dunn, he said: “It’s an honour to be bestowed on someone who’s an authority, who has been – in this case of King Charles – very much committed to protecting biodiversity, to protecting nature.

“This is a symbol that we are bestowing on King Charles to show as a symbol of our growing alliance with His Majesty and also with other world leaders, people who are interested in aligning with indigenous peoples from the heart to protect nature.”
