Carole Middleton could be set for a starring role in the Royal Family as she and husband Michael were seated in the seventh row at the Coronation, just behind the royals themselves and next to world leaders. Kate’s parents were joined by her brother James and sister Pippa as the Middletons showed their support for the Princess of Wales, the next Queen of England, who is now one of the most senior and beloved members of the Firm.

Daily Mail editor Richard Kay noted his surprise that Pippa and James made it onto the guestlist given the scarcity of availability, as some of the royal’s distant family did not even get an invite.
He wrote: “But beyond this very visible picture of dizzying social mobility that the Middletons represent, their presence — more than perhaps anyone else’s at Saturday’s ceremony — is a very clear sign about the future direction of the monarchy.
“Charles may be on the throne but by including William’s in-laws and in such a conspicuous position in the Abbey, there was a tacit acknowledgement of the role the Middletons are undoubtedly going to play.
“So while this was his father’s day, it was also the beginning of a new royal order and the extension of what was once referred to by courtiers as ‘The Middleton Rules’.”
King Charles and Queen Camilla may start to rely on Prince William and Kate more and more due to their advancing years, similarly to how the Queen and Prince Philip took a step back towards the end of their reign.
Queen Elizabeth stopped embarking on overseas tours in the final years of her life, meaning the Prince and Princess of Wales have been able to take many trips throughout the Commonwealth instead.
While the Waleses are away the Middletons are on hand to help take care of their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

George. Charlotte and Louis all call her Granny, although William has made sure they know everything about their late grandmother Princess Diana.
The royal children have once again been stealing hearts over the Coronation bank holiday weekend, as earlier today they joined their parents for a royal engagement in Slough.
