A video of some cyclists bumping into King Charles near Balmoral has gone viral on social media, as fans are stunned that the group came across the monarch walking alone.
The video, taken earlier in the summer, shows the cyclists pause their ride to talk to the King, with the royal appearing more than happy to stand and chat.
King Charles can be heard asking them if they’ve “done it before” in reference to the long hike in the Highlands, with the cyclist behind the camera, who appeared to be named Andrew, telling the monarch about how “bumpy” it is.
The cyclist standing closest to the King asked him, “is this your summer vacation to Balmoral is it?”, to which the King simply replied, “it is”.
The group then referred to the dismal Scottish weather, in which, like a typical Briton, the King replied: “It’s typical.”

The group appeared excited to meet the monarch, and spoke in bemusement that the King is “being left to walk” while pointing to the cars that drove down the track before he appeared.
The nature-loving King replied: “I like my walk.”
Speaking about the Balmoral estate, one of the cyclists asked the monarch if he ever stays in the house, to which the King said that he used to, when he was “very young”.
Stating that he used to stay there as a child with his sister, Princess Anne, the King said that the home is now used “occasionally”.

Before the cyclists and the King carried on with their hikes, they said how lovely it was to see the monarch.
The King, who is known for his humour, also jokingly told the cyclists: “Don’t fall off!”
The encounter occurred during the King’s recent stay at the estate – in which he hosted summer there for the first time since his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, died last September.
The King was joined at the Scotland-based residence by many members of his family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children.
