The organisation, which was set up by the royals in 2016 and one of the few projects remaining of their commitments together, shared a post on Instagram detailing the resources available for those struggling with mental health. The post provided details of Shout, the crisis text line running 24/7, which the Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge launched last year with Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. In addition to these details, which were written on a black background, the post read: “Heads Together stands with the black community. Today and every day.

“This is a reminder to all that your mental health matters, and our charity partners are there for you if you need support.

“If you or someone you know is feeling distressed, overwhelmed, anxious or panicked, talking can help.’

The post also provided details of a number of resources which are available to those currently struggling.

It added: “Text @giveusashoutinsta on 85258 for free and confidential 24/7 support.

“Visit @themixuk for webchat, group chats, discussions boards and more.

“Call @calmzone between 17:00 – midnight any day to talk about what you’re going through. ‘

The post concluded: “Black Lives Matter. Today and every day.’

Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry launched the Heads Together campaign four years ago.

Harry and Meghan left the joint Royal Foundation last year as they prepared to move out of the UK and relinquish full-time royal family duties.

Shout, one of Head Together’s legacy projects, was launched in 2019 alongside Meghan and is a free text messaging service providing round-the-clock support to anyone experiencing a mental health crisis.

Earlier this week, The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust (QCT) and The Diana Award have joined force also joined together to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

On Monday, the QCT, which is overseen by the Queen, Harry and Meghan, shared a historic quote from Martin Luther King Jr on Twitter.

Against a black background and in white text, the post said: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Alongside this, the account wrote: “Young people are vital voices in the fight against injustice and racism around the world.

“As a global community of young leaders we stand together in pursuit of fairness and a better way forward.

“Silence is not an option.”

The post added: “We all have the power to effect positive change.

“It is time to speak up and speak out. Time to have uncomfortable conversations with ourselves and with others. Time to educate ourselves and unlearn.

“Time to come together and build a better future as one.”

The Black Lives Matter movement began following the death of George Floyd, a black man killed by a white policeman in Minnesota.

Derek Chauvin is accused on kneeling on Mr Floyd’s neck for more than eight minutes as he was arresting him for the alleged use of a counterfeit banknote.

During the distressing footage, the 46-year-old could be heard gasping:” I can’t breath.”

Protests have taken place throughout the US and UK, with demonstrators becoming involved in violent clashes with hundreds of police officers.
