The Duke of Cambridge who is the patron of the Welsh Rugby Team and the Duchess of Cambridge is the patron of the Rugby Football Union and Rugby Football League. Jamie George, a Rugby Union Player was briefed by Kate that she is very “competitive” and wants the bragging rights in the house. Kate has been known to have an immense love for sports from sailing to cricket and table tennis.
Chris Ship, ITV News Royal Editor said: “William is a patron of the Welsh team and Kate’s patron of the England team that they will both turn up at this event I don’t know, but it’s you kind of assume that might happen.
Lizzie Robinson, a Royal producer at ITV News replied: “Oh! but she did say we spoke to Jamie George from the England men’s team and he was saying Kate was saying to them that there is rivalry between them and that they were really what are they going to do on the 26th get their heads together for this game because she wants the bragging rights.
Jamie Edward George, a Rugby Union Player said: “We did ask how that was going to go down in in the house apparently they’re very competitive that’s what she was saying so she said we need to make sure we get our heads on for that game otherwise she wants the bragging rights in the house so yeah it’s going to be an interesting one when we play Wales.

Mr Ship added: “So she wants the bragging rights in the house yes so that’s going to be quite an interesting 80 minutes, isn’t it?”
Kate was seen at the Twickenham Stadium last week at the training session who met the professional players, coaches, and the mentors of the game.
Kate’s Rugby abilities were confirmed by Zara Tindall’s husband, Mike Tindall who was a professional rugby player for England in the Rugby World Cup.
Mike told about Kate’s training session at Twickenham Stadium on the podcast The Good, The Bad and The Rugby.

Broadcaster Alex Payne told Mike and James Haskell, English Former Rugby player: “Well can I just say something which is 77 caps for your country [James] and 75 caps for your country [Mike], she looks a more natural rugby player than both of you put together.”
Mike said: “I text Ellis and said, ‘Mate, please tell me anything she messed up on’ so I could [message the] family WhatsApp group and get to her.’
“But he said: ‘No she was actually pretty good, and she was really good at kicking,’ and I was like [sighs].
Alex added: “She has this competitive nature. She looked unbelievably natural.”
James added: “When she was announced, I thought amazing because we know she obviously likes her rugby.
“But the way she caught the ball, the way she jumped in the line-out, the little outside break.

“She was utterly fantastic, she was really, really, really good.
“And so I was like amazing, and dual-sport, what an amazing ambassador.”
Mike added of Kate: “Just imagine, anyone who’s ever tried it, getting thrown up in the line-out if you’ve never done it before is not easy because normally, you’ll kick the prop in either the nuts or the face as he’s lifting you and she just looked effortless.
“The best thing is when it rolls to England and Wales, we get the battle of the Cambridges.”
It is believed that Kate was a very talented sports person in her school.
