Kate using ‘hands on’ parenting for Louis as experts claim Prince is Duchess’ ‘favourite’
Kate Middleton has ‘hands on’ parenting approach says expert
Prince Louis may be Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge’s “favourite” in the family, royal commentators have claimed. Royally Obsessed podcast hosts Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie discussed the Cambridge family’s first official outing this year at the London Palladium pantomime. Both of them noted the youngest royal’s behaviour, and attributed it to Kate and Prince William’s parenting style.
Ms Fiorito told listeners: “From a parenting perspective, the fact that Louis is only two and is that well-behaved is incredible.
“If I took my own son to something like that, it would be a disaster, I don’t think he’s ready for anything of the sort.
“I just can’t believe that Louis was sitting there so well-behaved.
“I saw that he was mesmerised by the disco ball and elf jugglers and stuff like that.”

Ms Bowie agreed: “I was just impressed, they have very minimal, from what we saw in photos and videos, restlessness in their seats.
“Well done, Kate and William, you are braver than I.
“I do feel that we haven’t seen much of Louis and that they’re super hands-on with him.
“We’ve heard that he’s Kate’s favourite and looks the most like her.”

She added: “I’ve read that before, that she absolutely loves Louis.
“He’s a mama’s boy and he seems to be so good.
“He seems to have a very good humour about him too, I think he’s laughing in so many photos.”

The public appearance was actually Prince Louis’ first-ever official royal engagement.
It was also the first that the Cambridge family of five had ever done all together.
The event, hosted by the National Lottery, was a thanks to key workers and their families for their hard work this year.
Kate, William and their children sat in the royal box for the performance while those inside were socially distanced.
The last time the family were seen in public was last June’s Trooping the Colour.
