Kate uses clever sofa tactic when disciplining George, Charlotte and Louis

Kate Middleton: Royal experts praise her parenting skills

The Princess of Wales has long been praised for her parenting skills and how she’s raising up her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Both Princess Kate and Prince William are very hands-on parents and try to be as normal as possible and aim to do most parenting themselves, like taking or picking up their kids from school.

But the couple is also known to have several rules in the house to keep their children disciplined and ensure they behave.

One of the Wales’s rules is that “no shouting” is allowed in the house, according to a source.

They said that Kate and William communicate and behave in a calm and gentle way and never shout at their children.

A source had previously told the Sun: “Shouting is absolutely ‘off limits’ for the children and any hint of shouting at each other is dealt with by removal.”

But William and Kate have another trick up their sleeves when things get out of hand.

The couple have replaced the “naughty step” with the “sofa chat”.

The source said: “The naughty child is taken away from the scene of the row or disruption and talked to calmly by either Kate or William.

Qualified early years practitioner and parenting consultant Kirsty Ketley claimed the Princess of Wales’s parenting style is modern and child-led, allowing it to work on so many levels.

Ketley said that whilst she has seen parenting styles change and evolve frequently, “the Princess of Wales is fast becoming a bit of an icon in the parenting and early years world – and it’s not because of nannies.”
