Kate ‘picking up tips’ from the Queen with surprising Prince Louis outfit choice
Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, joined her husband Prince William at the Trooping The Colour event to celebrate the Queen’s official birthday this weekend. The Duchess of Cambridge was photographed standing alongside her husband and children on the balcony, with the rest of the Royal Family. Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, royal expert, Russell Myers, claimed Kate has been “picking up a few tips” from the Queen with a Prince Louis outfit decision over the weekend.
He said: “Louis’ outfit as well. Talk about hand-me-down’s, this one is from 34-years-ago.
“One that Prince Harry wore in 1986. They are very thrifty the Royal Family, aren’t they.”
The host interjected, claiming the Queen was thrifty, prompting the royal expert to suggest the Duchess of Cambridge could be taking “tips” from Her Majesty.
He said: “Maybe Kate is picking up a few tips from Her Majesty herself.”

Mr Myers added: “Again, she was wearing the same hat that she was wearing at Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
“Some people are saying this was a bit of a move of solidarity.
“We have had the rift rumours over the past few months, but the pictures I have seen, all the videos from the weekend, they were laughing and joking in the carriage.
“Meghan coming back into the fold this weekend, it was really lovely to see.”
Prince Louis was caught on camera waving and giggling at an RAF flypast marking the Queen’s Trooping the Colour events on his first ever royal engagement.
Prince Louis wore a white and blue patterned shirt with blue shorts as he waved from his parents’ arms on Saturday.
Pictures from the event in 1986 show two-year-old Prince Harry being held by Princess Anne, dressed in the same blue shorts and white shirt.
Trooping the Colour was not only the first engagement for Prince Louis but also the first for Meghan Markle since having her son Archie Harrison just over a month ago.
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, is still on maternity leave, after giving birth to her and Prince Harry’s firstborn on May 6.
Baby Archie remains out of the spotlight and if recent royal births are anything to follow, it could be a while until Baby Sussex’s next public appearance, with his christening likely to be the next sighting.
During the Trooping The Colour celebrations, the Queen was paraded down the Mall to Buckingham Palace before watching the Red Arrows fly overhead. She was escorted by members of the Household Cavalry.
