The Duchess of Cambridge has been seen a number of times wearing garments from clothing brand Beulah since it was founded in 2010. It sold dresses priced between £330 and £650.

However, the Times reported Beulah did not manage to make a profit in its lifetime – losing as much as £1.7 million in 2018.

Its founders, Natasha Rufus Isaacs and Lavinia Brennan said in a statement published by Drapers: “Now more than ever as we see the devastating socio-economic effects of coronavirus play out across the world, marginalised communities need our support.

“We have dedicated the last 10 years of our lives to improving the livelihoods of vulnerable and trafficked women through the business of fashion, we remain fully committed to our original mission and it is our intention to find a way to rescue Beulah & secure its future.”

The company set out to be an ethical and socially conscious label, proving workers in India and Bangladesh who made its clothing with a fair wage.

It will perhaps be sad news for Kate, who has been seen wearing the brand’s clothing for around nine years.

Analysts have reported the London brand is one of the Duchess’ favourite, and over the years she has been seen wearing a scarf, a jacket, and a number of dresses from Beulah.

The Duchess’ social influence has helped the brand in the past.

When Kate wore a red floral dress by the British brand whilst launching a Heads Together mental health campaign, it sold out rapidly.

Other prominent names to have worn the brand’s labels include TV presenter Holly Willoughby and actress Sienna Miller.

However, the company announced it would go into liquidation and appointed business advisory firm Quantuma in July to handle this.

The clothing brand donated 10 percent of all its profits to vulnerable women around the world.
